11 May 2021 – CALGARY, Canada and HANOI, Vietnam: Wedge Networks, Inc. (Wedge), the leading real-time threat prevention solutions company, is pleased to announce that its Vietnamese partner, Nam Truong Son Hanoi (NTS), has recently closed a deal supplying Wedge’s Advanced Malware Blocker (WedgeAMB™) to protect the critical infrastructure network at one of Vietnam’s largest hydro power plants. Vietnam is one of the quickly emerging countries in the ASEAN with a large number of new infrastructure projects being undertaken as the government looks to modernize and expand its economy. With the growing number of key critical infrastructures being built, there is a keen awareness for the need to protect mission critical systems against the exponential growth of malware and cyber-attacks. Wedge was selected as a leading security technology provider to provide its solution for this project.
This further reinforces the trust in Wedge’s ability to help provide real-time threat prevention into some of the high target networks within the country and reflects the focused interest of many Vietnamese organizations in adopting some of the cutting-edge technologies on the market. Through NTS, and Wedge’s growing distribution and resale network in the country, the Wedge Absolute Real-time Protection™ (WedgeARP™) platform, and the successful Wedge Advanced Malware Blocker™ (WedgeAMB™), has been deployed into a number of high profile customers, including several Vietnamese Government Ministry departments, the National Power Transmission and Energy Generation organizations, and select finance and insurance companies across the country.
The WedgeARP™ platform provides network-based, real-time threat protection for all types of endpoints in a wide range of networks (mobile data, 5G, SD-WAN, SASE, and smart-city/IIoT). With an embedded deep learning AI engine and patented real-time deep content inspection technology, WedgeARP™ can detect never-before-seen malware in milliseconds. Running on an orchestrated threat management platform, it is an effective and autonomous approach to enable large-scale real-time threat prevention.
“As shown by this latest win, Wedge is set to continue its success in the Vietnamese market; particularly with organizations that are providing critical infrastructure services,” stated Mr. Rob Fong, COO and CFO at Wedge Networks. “With our WedgeAMB™ product protecting an integral part of Vietnam’s energy production infrastructure, it shows the true value that real-time threat prevention has, especially in high value targets such as this hydro power generator. We want to congratulate NTS on this win and look forward to more success with them in the future.”
NTS has been one of Wedge’s resale partners since 2019 and offers the WedgeAMB™ product as well as other newly released security services into the Vietnamese market.
